Opis oferty BIOPOWER is intended to determine the profitability of growing selected energy crops. One of the basic parameters is crop yield. It was determined based on climate and soil conditions prevailing in a specific growing location. Crop techniques and agricultural measures, including fertilizing, were also specified. To determine the precise costs of crop growing, process sheets were created for the crops. The user may both add new actions and change the costs of specific measures in a customized process sheet. This enables adjusting the technology to local conditions and determining its costs in the local context. In addition to costs, the economic module allows the user to specify the income from different crops and the potential selling price. This enables forecasting the profitability of growing specific energy crops under defined conditions. The environmental module specifies the environmental clauses which take account of requirements set out in EU directives related to energy crop production. Also, the program includes an information module which stores the results of field work and performance data for selected locations in accordance with the IGRE project. BIOPOWER is a Web application available to registered users.
